All transactions happen only among duly pre-approved allowed wallets provided by adherent institutional partners, who are required to open a bank account at Bison Bank, and are able to request mint and redeem operations through Bison Mobile. All USD holders have the right to redeem the EMT at par value at any time.

As an authorized credit institution, Bison Bank is subject to stringent prudential requirements arising from RGICSF, transposing, among others, CRD IV and BRRD, from CRR, Commission Delegated and other applicable European and Portuguese laws, which entail that, among others, credit institutions implement measures that ensure that they have minimum own funds, leverage restrictions and liquidity to ensure a robust and prudent financial situation. As such, Bison Bank is obliged to hold adequate liquidity to meet all liabilities, including the USB redemption obligations, under supervision by the regulator.

To send/receive USB you can use any Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) compatible wallet for which the address is in the allowlist managed by Bison Bank. Bison Bank’s service through the home banking platform allows the bank’s institutional partners to submit wallets for approval and addition to the allowlist, subject to Bison Bank’s terms and conditions.

Minting of USB can be performed on Bison Mobile by institutional partners of Bison Bank. You can also receiving it as payment or transfer from another wallet that is part of the allowlist.

Yes, USB holders have a right of redemption at any time and at par value. The exercise of the right of redemption is subject to (i) the holders of USB transfering the USB to a wallet specified by Bison Bank (instructions available in the home banking platform), (ii) the relevant know your customer procedures being successfully concluded by Bison Bank in accordance with applicable legislation, Bison Bank’s internal policies, as well as the regulation and procedures on anti-money laundering and combat to terrorist financing and (iii) appropriate wallet screening.

USB operates on a public blockchain infrastruture, and users are responsible for securely managing their private keys or wallet access. Bison Bank cannot recover lost keys or access funds in your wallet. Always back up your private keys and use secure storage solutions.
