Lisbon, July 9, 2018 – Bison Capital Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited (“Bison Capital”) has completed its 100% acquisition of Banif – Banco de Investimento, S.A. from Oitante, S.A., after it has been formally approved by the European Central Bank and Bank of Portugal.
After the acquisition, Bison Capital injected Eur41m in BBI, which shows its strong commitment for the bank’s business development.
Bison Capital is a private investment holding company headquartered in Hong Kong, with a strong focus on China-related opportunities in the financial sector.
Bison’s strong resources and connections in the Asian markets will enable the bank to provide its clients with a solid platform to access emerging opportunities across continents, and serve as a financial bridge between Asia and Europe, strengthening the economic and financial relationships between these two continents.
In the future, the new bank will focus mainly in wealth management and investment banking business.
