Ana Maria Machado Fernandes has more than 38 years of experience in management and governance across the financial and energy sectors.

Her non-executive banking experience includes Board and committee roles at Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Banco CTT and Banco Comercial e de Investimento.

She previously held senior executive positions at EDP, EDP Renewables, EDP Brasil and Galp, including Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board responsibilities.

She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Porto, an MBA and postgraduate qualifications in international finance.
