The Executive Committee will be responsible for the implementation and execution of Bison Bank, S.A.’s strategic plan as approved by the Board of Directors.
The new Executive Committee is composed of three members, each with more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector, in the most diverse functions – organization, strategy, business, control and support, in domestic and international operations. António Henriques transits from the previous mandate, taking over the leadership of the Executive Committee and maintaining the areas of technology, operations, and human resources. André Rendeiro also transfers from the previous mandate, keeping the risk, compliance and legal & governance areas. Eduardo Moradas transfers from Caixa Geral de Depósitos, taking over the business development, treasury, and customer support areas.
The strategy to be implemented by the Executive Committee will focus on the consolidation of the current banking business lines, particularly depositary, custody, investment advisory and investment banking, as well as the development of the activity of custody and exchange of virtual assets for clients through the new subsidiary – Bison Digital Assets, S.A. which is the first entity in Portugal and one of the few in Europe that, being owned by a bank, operates in the virtual assets area. The business will be based on a B2B model, aiming to serve institutional and HNWI clients, both domestic and international, with a strong digital component.
The new composition of the Board of Directors of Bison Bank, S.A., as well as the new governance model with the integration of the Audit Committee, will ensure greater efficiency and cohesion in management, greater proximity and monitoring in supervision and the consolidation and development of the operations of Bison Bank, S.A. successfully throughout the current mandate.
