July 2024 - Domain "http://bisonbanks.com/"

Bison Bank, S.A. has become aware of the existence of a domain (http://bisonbanks.com/), which uses a name similar to that of Bison Bank, S.A., namely with reference to the website, using, however, the plural (bisonbanks) and not having https (secure connection).

Therefore, we inform you that Bison Bank, S.A., has no relationship with this website, nor with such practices.

In the event of any suspicious approach in the name of Bison Bank, S.A., we ask that you inform us, without prejudice to reporting the case to the competent authorities.

July 2024 - Fraudulent Messages and Phone Calls

There are several attempts at fraudulent schemes and electronic scams through messages and phone calls. These fraud methods, known as smishing and vishing, aim to steal personal and financial information, using increasingly sophisticated and convincing techniques.

July 2024 - Phishing Emails

There has been a significant increase in cyber fraud, especially through methods such as phishing.

In these cases, emails that appear to be from trusted sources are sent, often containing malicious attachments, videos, or links to fake websites that request confidential data, such as credit card numbers, passwords, and other personal information.

In the event of any suspicious approach in the name of Bison Bank, S.A., we ask that you inform us, without prejudice to reporting the case to the competent authorities.

May 2023 - Concession of financing and loans

In May 2023, Bison Bank, S.A. has become aware of fraudulent practices carried out by third parties using the email address “Bisonbankonlineeasyseuredtransfer@caramail.com”, pretending to be the institution.

The Bison Bank home loan solution, available since April 2024, is guaranteed exclusively through a partnership with UCI (Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios, S.A., EFC (Sociedad Unipersonal) – Branch in Portugal)*, an institution specialized in this type of financing.

Bison Bank, as a Tied Credit Intermediary authorized to operate in Portugal, is registered with the Bank of Portugal and is included in the list of Credit Institutions providing credit intermediation services. This information can be consulted through the list of Credit Institutions acting as Credit Intermediaries on the Bank of Portugal’s website.

Any communication claiming the provision of home loans through other entities is false and should be disregarded.

In the event of any suspicious approach in the name of Bison Bank, S.A., we ask that you inform us, without prejudice to reporting the case to the competent authorities.

March 2023 - Online Platform - BANIF - BC

Bison Bank, S.A. became aware of the existence of an online platform called BANIF – BC, with the website https://market.banif-bc.online/login, which uses a company name similar to the extinct Banif – Banco de Investimento, S.A., namely with reference on the website to the respective logo.

In this sense, we inform that Bison Bank, S.A., formerly known as Banif – Banco de Investimento, S.A., has no relationship with this website, nor with such practices.

In the event of any suspicious approach on behalf of Bison Bank, S.A. or Banif – Banco de Investimento, S.A., we request that you inform us, without prejudice to the communication of the case to the competent authorities.
