Reporting irregularities

In accordance with Bison Bank, S.A.’s Code of Conduct, we are committed to providing the possibility of reporting irregularities or concerns, when detected (whether or not there is effective proof of their occurrence)of the following nature:

  • Infractions of accounting nature, internal accounting controls, audit, fight against corruption and banking and financial crime, pursuant to Resolution No. 765/2009 of CNPD;
  • Serious irregularities related to the management of Bison Bank and its internal supervision, as well as serious evidence of breach of obligations under the General Regime of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies or Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
  • Those related to possible violations of Law No. 83/2017, the regulation implementing it and the policies and procedures and controls internally defined in the area of prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.

Principles of action

In the context of reporting irregularities or concerns, it is always ensured:

  • Confidentiality:In the context of reporting irregularities or concerns, the confidentiality of the author of the communication is always ensured
  • Anonymity: You can choose to identify yourself or send an anonymous communication
  • Impartiality and Objectivity:The Bank undertakes to investigate reports of suspected illegal, fraudulent, less ethical or for any other reason deemed impartial, objective and professional conduct, in accordance with law and regulation and collecting all the facts necessary for a rigorous assessment of the situation.
  • Non-Retaliation:The Bank does not accept any kind of retaliation against the Subject Person who reports an irregularity or concern. This principle applies to all those who participate in the investigation process (e.g. witnesses) or who provide information or evidence to the process. Any Subject Person carrying out retaliatory action will be subject to the applicable disciplinary sanctions.
